Tewksbury PD Arrests Marlborough Man Accused Of Hotel Robbery
Daniel Summerlin was arrested in Lowell and charged with unarmed robbery after allegedly demanding cash from a Tewksbury hotel clerk.

TEWKSBURY, MA — A Marlborough man was arrested Wednesday after being accused of robbing a Tewksbury hotel a day earlier, the Tewksbury Police Department said.
Daniel Summerlin, 45, was arrested in Lowell and charged with unarmed robbery, according to authorities. He was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Lowell District Court, police said.
According to police reports, at about 12:08 p.m. Tuesday, the Tewksbury PD responded to a report of a robbery at the front desk of a hotel on Andover Street.

Police said they learned that a male suspect had demanded cash from a clerk and then escaped in a dark gray Nissan Rogue. No weapons were shown by the suspect and nobody was injured, the Tewksbury PD said.
The department said that the registration plate on the suspect's car had been recorded by a witness at the scene of the alleged crime.

After an investigation, the Tewksbury PD identified Summerlin as the suspect in the alleged robbery, according to the authorities.
The department said it obtained an arrest warrant from the Lowell District Court. On Wednesday, Summerlin was located in Lowell and arrested, according to the Tewksbury PD.
"I am grateful for the quick investigation by our officers and detectives to identify this person before someone else was victimized, as well as the assistance from the Lowell police in locating this individual," Tewksbury Police Chief Ryan Columbus said.
