Tewksbury Police Arrest 3 With Fentanyl Charges

Two Maine men and a Lawrence man were arrested in Tewksbury Tuesday, the department reported.

TEWKSBURY, MA — Tewksbury police arrested three people from Maine and Lawrence and charged them with fentanyl trafficking Tuesday, the department said.

Police made a traffic stop after a driver failed to signal, police said. During the stop, police witnessed "in plain sight what appeared to be" heroin or fentanyl, according to the police narrative.

Police investigated and found another package of fentanyl. A police dog found three more packages, police said.

In total, 57.8 grams of fentanyl and $2,300 in cash were seized.

Alfredo Nivar Rodriguez, 26, of Lawrence was charged with trafficking fentanyl and possession of clonazepam. Erik Ross, 35, of Biddeford, Maine was charged with trafficking fentanyl and failing to wear a seat belt. Roy Burke, 36, of South Portland, Maine was charged with trafficking fentanyl and failing to signal.

All three fentanyl trafficking charges were for over 10 grams.

All three were arraigned at Lowell District Court and held without bail.

All people are innocent until proven guilty.
