Tewksbury Police Arrest Two Residents on Drug Trafficking Charges

They both face several charges following Thursday's arrest.

TEWKSBURY, MA - Two Tewksbury residents were arrested Thursday after detectives observed a drug transaction on Ward Street. They both face several charges.

On March 24, Tewksbury Police arrested James Brooks, 39, of 32 Ward St., Tewksbury for trafficking cocaine over 18 grams, distribution of oxycodone (subsequent offense), possession with the intent to distribute oxycodone (subsequent offense) and possession of nandrolone decanoate (steroids). Also arrested was Lisa Nocco, 52, of 66 Lake St., Tewksbury for possession of oxycodone and failure to signal.

Police say detectives observed a drug transaction at 32 Ward St. and conducted a motor vehicle stop of Nocco. Further investigation resulted in the recovery of several oxycodone pills. Shortly thereafter, Brooks was placed into custody outside his residence.

After a search of 32 Ward St., detectives were able to recover 18 grams of cocaine, several oxycodone pills, packaging materials and two digital scales.

Brooks is on probation out of Lowell Superior Court.

Brooks and Nocco were due to be arraigned at Lowell District Court on March 25.
