Tewksbury Police Bust Man With Cocaine

A 38-year-old Methuen man is arrested after police witness an alleged drug transaction.

TEWKSBURY - Tewksbury police arrested a 38-year-old Methuen man on drug charges after police witnessed an alleged drug transaction in the parking lot of a Tewksbury hotel on Thursday, according to police.

Durrell Alexander, 38 of 75 Union St., Apt.6, Methuen was charged with distribution of a class b substance, cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute a class b substance, cocaine and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license, police said.

Detectives observed Alexander conducting a drug transaction in the parking lot of the Extended Stay America Hotel. Alexander was subsequently arrested and cocaine was recovered. Additional cocaine was located and seized from Alexander’s room when Detectives executed a search warrant.
