Tewksbury isn’t alone. The town is one of nearly four dozen schools in the commonwealth with a Native American mascot.

Hundreds turned out at a Town Hall forum in January, hosted by Superintendent John O’Connor to debate keeping or dropping the mascot. From T-shirts to social media pages and more, supporters of the Redmen have been strong and vocal in their fight to keep the town's mascot.
