Tewksbury Reports 48 Active Confirmed Coronavirus Cases
The town dropped out of the high-risk category, Friday, but it continues to add cases.
TEWKSBURY, MA — Tewksbury has 48 active confirmed coronavirus cases and 7 probable cases, the town reported Saturday. The town reported 35 active cases on Oct. 22.
Tewksbury was removed from the state's high-risk category, Friday, because of new metrics. But the town continued to add coronavirus cases and reported a rise in the positive test rate.

All but one of the active cases are community cases; the category of the final case is unknown. The town did not report any cases at the State Hospital or long-term care facilities.
Since the virus arrived in Massachusetts in March, Tewksbury has had 836 confirmed cases and 78 deaths.
