Tewksbury Residents Injured in Rollover

Kenney's vehicle struck on northbound side of I-93, ends up on southbound side.

A pair of Tewksbury residents were injured Friday night when the 1996 Olds Cutless they were riding in collided with another vehicle near Exit 43 and rolled over on  I-93 in Andover.

According to State Police, Paul Kenney, 54, was driving the Olds. With him was Cheryl Kenney, 52.

According to the police report, Kenney's vehicle got the worst of the crash, which took place in the northbound side of the highway. The Olds rolled over several times and ended up on the southbound side of the highway. Both Kenney's were taken to Lawrence General Hospital. No information is being released about their condition.

Kenney's vehicle rolled over and ended up in the southbound lane, according to state police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Murray. Kenney and his passenger, Cheryl Kenney, 52, also of Tewksbury, were transported to Lawrence General Hospital. An update on their conditions was not available. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured in the crash.

As a result of the accident, a portion of I-93 was shut down for nearly an hour.
