Tewksbury Teenager Critically Injured In Shooting In Montreal Suburb

A 14-year-old from Tewksbury was among several people injured in a shooting outside of Montreal

LAVAL, QC — A 14-year-old from Tewksbury was shot over the weekend while visiting family outside Montreal.

Sandrick Jorceline of Tewksbury was in the Montreal suburb for a family birthday party. While leaving a party, with his uncle, mother and two others a car pulled beside and opened fire. The bullet went through Jorceline's abdomen and lodged in his back.

His uncle was killed and his mother was grazed by a bullet.

The family told WCVB, that Jorceline can’t really move his legs but are hopeful that doctors at Massachusetts General Hospital and Spaulding Rehab will be able to help his recovery.

Jorceline was airlifted to Boston on Thursday.
