Tewksbury Tops Melrose in State Football Semifinals

Tewksbury Redmen football won again, topping Melrose 32-14 Saturday in the MIAA Division 3 State semifinals at Cawley Stadium in Lowell.

Tewksbury moves on to the state finals, where they will play Plymouth South Dec. 7 at Gillette Stadium.

Redmen posted a 34-21 win over Marblehead last weekend to continue a flawless season.

Melrose had a strong playoff run, winning the Northwest Division 3 title after beating Woburn 31-7 on Nov. 15 in Melrose to advance to the state semifinal round.
