The signatures have been verified and the ballot has been set for the April 2 Tewksbury Municipal Election.

The only two people who had taken out papers but did not return them were Warren R. Layne and Donna Marie Robitaille.

Rumors had persisted for the past few weeks that Layne would not seek a second three-year term as town moderator. Layne's absence leaves former School Committee member Keith Rauseo running unopposed for moderator.

Robitaille had considered mounting a challenge to incumbent Planning Board member Stephen G. Johnson Jr.'s reelection campaign. Johnson will now run unopposed for another 5-year term.
