Three Arrested, Charged With Stealing Tires In Tewksbury

Tewksbury police arrested three people early Thursday morning after a caller reported witnessing people stealing tires.

TEWKSBURY, MA — Tewksbury police arrested three people and charged them with stealing car parts Thursday in connection with alleged tire theft.

Around 1:27 a.m. Thursday a caller to the police reported seeing three men "in the process of stealing tires off of a vehicle" in an Ames Hill Drive area parking lot.

Police sent to the area found three men hiding in a vehicle. The men "matched the description," Tewksbury police said.

Police found a silver tire iron and silver wrench on the ground in plain view, along with the removed tires. On further investigation, police found "additional burglarious instruments," the department said.

Police arrested Juan Truncoso-Garcia, 18 of Lowell, Yorbis Peguero, 22 of Boston and Adrian Troncoso Garcia, 21 of Lowell.

Juan Truncoso-Garcia was charged with larceny over $1200, taking and stealing motor vehicle parts, conspiracy, possession of burglarious instrument, number plate violation, unregistered motor vehicle and uninsured motor vehicle. Adrian Troncoso Garcia was charged with larceny over $1200, taking and stealing motor vehicle parts, conspiracy and possession of burglarious instrument. Peguero was charged with larceny over $1200, taking and stealing motor vehicle parts, conspiracy and possession of burglarious instrument.

All three men were due to be arraigned in Lowell District Court Thursday.

All people are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
