TEWKSBURY, MA —One of Massachusetts' most popular brewing companies said Friday that it will be taking over a popular golf course and wedding venue in Tewksbury later this year.
Tree House Brewing Company, based in Charlton, posted to their website Friday that they are purchasing Tewksbury Country Club from Marc Ginsburg and family.
"We will evolve the space into an expansive and inviting beer hall and retail store and continue to operate the golf course and various amenities with the full strength of our crew behind it," the brewing company said on their site.

The brewery says they will continue to host events scheduled through 2022, but all functions after the new year are now canceled, a tough decision for couples who may have had a hard time finding a function for their wedding throughout the pandemic.
People who do have the site booked for weddings will have to quickly find a new place to host.
The brewery says they are looking to hire 30 to 50 new staff members and find ways to give back to the community. "In Tewskbury, our first initiative will be a regionally-specific beer from which 100% of the proceeds will be donated to regional causes," the company said on its site. "Historically, similar initiatives have raised between $40,000-$80,000."
"The long-term vision for Tree House in Tewksbury is to curate a gathering space for friends, families, and groups to celebrate life and each other," the company said. "As a gateway to points in the city and recreational activities to the north, we hope to build a cultural destination worthy of the region in which it resides."
