Trick-or-Treat Hours Set for Tewksbury
Don't forget about Tewksbury's Community Safe Halloween on Oct. 25 and some tips for safe trick-or-treating.

Halloween is still a few weeks away, but town officials just released this year’s trick or treat hours in Tewksbury.
Trick or treat hours on Halloween, which this year is on Saturday, Oct. 31, will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Community Safe Halloween is Oct. 25
For the 17th year, the Tewksbury Police Department will be hosting its Annual Community Safe Halloween on Sunday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the John F. Ryan Elementary School located at 135 Pleasant St.

The event will include free goodies for children, as well as safety demonstrations, dancing, games, arts and crafts and more.
Tips for Safe Trick or Treating
- If you’re going “Trick or Treating” at Halloween, remember these safety tips, so you can have fun and keep safe at the same time.
- Always go trick or treating with an adult.
- Only go to houses where you or your friends know the residents.
- Don’t knock on doors where there is a sign saying “NO callers” or there are no outside lights on.
- Stay in areas that are lit with streetlights - take a flashlight with you just in case.
- Stay with your friends - don’t split into smaller groups unless an adult goes with you.
- Don’t talk to strangers on the street.
- Don’t enter any house, stay on the doorstep.
- Always look carefully before crossing the road, even if you are part of a group.
- Be visible.
