Wamesit Masonic Lodge 2024 Blood Drive
Wamesit Masonic Lodge in Tewksbury seeking more donors for its Red Cross Blood Drive

Tewksbury’s Wamesit Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons partners with the American Red Cross to sponsor a blood drive each month. These blood donations help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer. In fact, every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. To support this critical need, the Masons aim to collect over 1,500 units of blood annually, which can help save 4,500 lives each year.
“With less than three months to go in 2024, we could certainly use an uptick in blood donors before the end of the year,” says Steve Lavargna, a Masonic brother at the Lodge. “Whether first time donors or repeat donors, we hope more people will consider coming in to donate blood, even asking friends and family to join them. With just a few minutes, each donor helps save as many as three lives. That’s quite a personal impact on the community.”
The blood donation process from the time you arrive until the time you leave takes about an hour, although the donation itself is only about 8-10 minutes of that time on average. If interested in donating blood, please schedule an appointment by downloading the American Red Cross Blood Donor app, by visiting https://www.redcrossblood.org/, or by using the QR code below. There donors will find convenient times during the remaining 2024 blood drive dates at the Wamesit Masonic Hall on 70 Victor Drive, Tewksbury, MA 01876, which are as follows:

Wamesit Lodge is part of the world’s oldest and largest fraternity – Freemasonry. The fraternity is comprised of adult men (18+) of good character from every country, religion, race, age, income, education, and opinion. Its body of knowledge and system of ethics is based on the belief that each man has a responsibility to improve himself while being devoted to his family, his faith, his country, and his fraternity. The Freemasons help men to be the best possible versions of ourselves, and make connections with men who share the same values. If interested in learning more or joining the brotherhood of the Wamesit Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, please feel free to contact us at Wamesit@MassFreemasonry.net or stop by the Lodge during a Blood Drive and ask to speak to a brother.
