It may be September, but Tewksbury is in the midst of an unseasonable round of hot, muggy weather and is about to continue for a third day in a row.
The National Weather Service says Tuesday’s hot weather was due to high pressure sitting off the Eastern Seaboard, pushing increasing heat and humidity into the region. High temperatures exceeded 90 degrees for the second day in a row Tuesday throughout the state, breaking records.
