Streets and sidewalks in Wakefield may start looking less raggedy in upcoming months, as Massachusetts has awarded the city $680,046 in state transportation funds to see to such repairs.
“Especially after the toll this winter has taken on our communities’ infrastructure, it is critical for state government to be a supportive partner with local governments in ensuring that our neighborhoods are safe for motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians.” said State Senator Jason Lewis in a statement to the media.
