Dassault Systèmes Raises Over Half a Million Dollars for Pan-Massachusetts Challenge

 Waltham, Mass. – November 15, 2012 Dassault Systèmes (Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), the 3DEXPERIENCE Company, world leader in 3D design software, 3D Digital Mock Up and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, today announced that it has presented the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge (PMC) with a check for more than $533,000. Eighty-five Team Dassault members participated in the challenge this year, riding a total of 14,284 miles to benefit the organization. Over the past 11 years, Dassault Systèmes has raised more than $3.8 million dollars for the PMC.

Al Bunshaft, managing director, North America, Dassault Systèmes and one of the team’s riders, said “The Pan-Massachusetts Challenge is one of the top fund raising events in the country and was an amazing experience for our team. We’re thrilled to support such a deserving local organization and to be part of its record-breaking donation this year.”

Team Dassault is made up of Dassault Systèmes employees from the Boston Campus in Waltham, the Rhode Island office in Providence and additional employees from across the globe.  The team was also joined by participants from company partners and customers, as well as friends and family. The PMC, which supports cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Jimmy Fund, is the most successful single athletic fundraising event in the United States. This year the PMC was held August 4 and 5, 2012 and raised a record total of $37 million, exceeding its 2012 goal of $36 million and bringing its total gift to over $374 million. For the past five years the PMC gift has averaged more than $33 million a year.

Billy Starr, founder and executive director of PMC, accepted a check from Dassault Systèmes in a ceremony celebrating the team’s involvement on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at the company’s headquarters in Waltham.
