More Conditions for Waltham Police Officer Facing Child Porn Charges
Waltham Police Officer Paul Manganelli is facing child pornography charges.

Several additional conditions of release have emerged in the case of a Waltham Police Officer facing child pornography charges.
Waltham Police Officer Paul Manganelli, 46, of Waltham, remains under house arrest at his parents' Waltham home as he faces child porn charges. He is on paid administrative leave from Waltham Police Department.
According to newly available federal court documents, Manganelli must abide by the following conditions in house arrest and avoiding contact with most individuals under 18:

- He must surrender his passport.
- He is barred from traveling outside of Massachusetts.
- He is required to avoid contact with any victims or witnesses in his case.
- He must stay away from parks, playgrounds, fast food restaurants and any place where residents under 18 may frequent.
- He is also prohibited from carrying any weapons, including a firearm.
- He must avoid excessive consumption of alcohol.
- He must submit to mental health treatment if the court orders it.
- He is prohibited from gambling and buying scratch tickets. (Manganelli previously won $1 million on a scratch ticket)
- He is prohibited from accessing the Internet through any device.
Manganelli allegedy admitted to sending and receiving inappropraite images but also claimed he was doing research to apprehend pedophiles online. Waltham Police, however, never assigned him to such duties.
