New Details on Proposed Waltham Bank

New details emerged recently on the proposal to locate a TD Bank at the former Polaroid site.

TD Bank has requested a special permit to operate a drive-thru window at 1265 Main St. After a Monday, March 25 public hearing at City Hall, the request was referred to the City Council’s Ordinance & Rules Committee for further review. However, the bank could open without a drive-thru. 

The bank’s hours would be 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday – Wednesday, 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday – Friday and 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturdays., according to J & CO. Project Manage Rick Vallarelli. The ATM would be open 24 hours each day. It would queue up to 12 cars in the drive-thru.

Several councilors raised concerns including security at the site and traffic issues. Councillors and project officials plan to address those and other questions at future subcommittee meetings.
