Waltham To Face Brookline In First Round Of High School Quiz Show
Tickets to the quiz show taping are free and open to the public

WALTHAM – Four Waltham High School students will be headed to WGBH's studios to tape an episode of High School Quiz Show and the show is inviting the public to come be in the audience - for free.
"Congratulations again to Waltham High School for earning a place on High School Quiz Show Season 11!" a representative from the show said in a release.
Wednesday the show released the competition bracket and taping schedule, announcing the first round of matchups on WGBH’s televised academic tournament.

Waltham will face Brookline High School in the first round at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan 26. It won't air until 6 p.m. Saturday, March 14 on WGBH 2. The winner moves on to round 2 and faces off against either Needham or Taunton.

There will be 17 schools from across Massachusetts - including first-timers Waltham - competing on the 11th season of the public television academic tournament.

Hosted by Boston media personality Billy Costa, the broadcast competition tests students' knowledge in things like math, science, civics, literature, history and current events.
