Waltham Housing Prices, Sales Up in June

Newly-released data from the Warren Group shows Waltham did well in the housing market in June.

Overall, Waltham's real estate market fared well in June, according to newly released data from the Warren Group.

Home Sales

  • June sales: Home sales jumped by 61.54 percent to 42 last month, compared to June of 2011. To date, they were up 27.27 percent to 154, compared to the same time last year. The increase mirrors the statewide jump of 26 percent.
  • June median sale prices: Prices were up 1.72 percent to $414,500 from $407,500 compared to June of 2011. To date, prices were up 3.83 percent to $380,00 from $366,000. Statewide, however, prices fell by one percent.

  • June home sales: Condo sales fell by 4.17 percent from 24 to 23 last month compared to June of 2011. To date, they were up by 11.11 percent from 90 to 100. The Waltham increase was somewhat below the 29 percent statewide increase in condo sales.
  • June median prices: Prices in Waltham were down 1.49 percent to $295,000 last month compared to June of last year. To date, prices were up 10.46 percent to $327,500 compared to the same time least year. Statewide, prices were up 4 percent.
