Waltham HS Security Guard Free on Bail After Bomb Material Arrest

The Waltham High School security guard recently arrested for having bomb-making materials is free on bail after a Monday, March 11 court hearing, according to WBZ-TV.
Jesse Holland, 23, of Garnder was freed after a hearing at Leominster District Court two weeks after his arrest in Leominster for possession of bomb-making materials, according to WBZ-TV. Holland must stay away from weapons and dangerous materials and submit to GPS monitoring.
"He is a goofball, he is a knucklehead and he made a wrong decision, but there was no harmful intent," Holland's mother, Debbie, told WBZ-TV.

Jesse Holland's defense attorney, Sean Smith, told the judge Holland only intended to mix the materials in into a thermite bomb in his back yard according to WBZ-TV. Smith called his client's behavior "sophmoric, stupid."
Prosecutors attempted to keep Holland in jail as his case progresses, according to WBZ-TV. Holland's case was continued to March 27.
