Officials broke ground this week on a new facility to treat sports injuries.
The new Micheli Center for Sports Injury Prevention on Hope Avenue will treat sports injuries and help athletes prevent them, according to a press release.
The Center will carry the name of Dr. Lyle Micheli, who founded the center and serves as the Director of of Division Of Sports Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital. Th ecenter is slated to open in March of 2013.

Waltham Mayor Jeanette McCarthy, Micheli and others gathered on Monday, Oct. 15 to officially begin construction.
