What To Do If You Have Rusty Water in Waltham
The Waltham Fire Department is warning residents they may see rusty water from their taps soon, but for a good reason.

Don't be surprised if you have rusty water soon.
The Waltham Fire Department will begin conducting fire hydrants throughout the city on Aug. 1, according to a press release from the department. The testing may cause some water to appear rusty. The tests will end on Aug. 31
"Chief Ciccone recommends that all persons who may use water for cooking, drinking, or laundering during this period run their faucets until their water is free of rust. He advises citizens to watch for Fire Engines in their neighborhood as a sign that hydrant testing is in progress," the fire department wrote in their press release.
