• 52-Unit Residential Building on Water Street Approved by Zoning Board (watertownmanews.com) — A 52-unit condo building at 108 Water Street has been approved by Watertown’s Zoning Board after designers revised the facade, lighting, and streetscape details. The project includes eight affordable units, limited on-site parking with free MBTA and bikeshare incentives, undergrounding utilities on Water Street, and a possible historical plaque recognizing the site’s industrial past.
   

• An East Village record store had the vinyl find of a lifetime — on an island in Maine (gothamist.com) — A cult-favorite folk album by Loren Connors and Kath Bloom was actually recorded in a Watertown studio, giving the town an unexpected cameo in a remarkable vinyl rediscovery. Hundreds of unsold copies, long stored in a Maine basement, were rescued, painstakingly dewarped, and quickly snapped up by collectors after a New York record shop owner recognized their value.
