Roche Bros. Opens In Watertown's Arsenal Yards

The grocery store offers catering ands specials such as espresso, flatbreads, and smoothies.

WATERTOWN, MA — Roche Bros. opened its first Watertown store today, settling into a spot in Arsenal Yards.

The grocery store—which called on shoppers to try its espresso, flatbreads, fruits and smoothies—has locations across Massachusetts, including Downtown Crossing, Cambridge and Waltham.

“Our expansion into Watertown at Arsenal Yards delivers our vision of bringing an innovative food shopping experience into local neighborhoods. This store combines the variety and first-rate shopping experience of Roche Bros., with the innovation and product assortment of Brothers Marketplace," said Linda SanGiacomo, vice president of Marketing for Roche Bros. in a release.

“In Watertown, we will continue to offer the traditional products our customers have grown to love, as well as innovative specialty items that cater to the needs and desires of residents and guests of Arsenal Yards.”

Roche Bros. is family-owned, first opening in Mansfield in 1952. As they opened more stores, Pat and Bud Roche began adding more departments to the store, including a bakery, florist and restaurant, the website says.

Roche Bros. offers catering, with a menu spanning from cheese boards to sushi.

The grocer is just the latest to join Arsenal Yards—other new arrivals include CityWorks, an eatery and “pour house”; Ulta Beauty, and European Wax Center. Roche Bros. neighbors Shake Shack and Ben & Jerry’s, with Old Navy, Gap, and Marshalls a few storefronts down.
