Watertown Police Log: Wallet Stolen from Car, Vehicle Shot by Pellets

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

Sept. 18, 6:28 p.m.: A car an a red light on Arsenal Street and when the police officer who stopped the car discovered the driver had no license, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Agnaldo Costa Dias, 35, of 40 Clarendon St. in Watertown, was arrested on charges of failing to stop and unlicensed driving.

Sept. 18, 7:19 p.m.: Police arrested Thalia K. Genes, 49, of 10 Locust Lane in Watertown, was arrested on charges of domestic assault with a dangerous weapon - a plastic container, and threatening to commit a crime, Lawn said.

Sept. 21, 8:34 p.m.: A car violated a stop sign and when the vehicle was pulled over, the officer found the driver had no license, Lawn said. Allan Alvizurez, 25, of 6 Rich St. in Waltham, was arrested on a charge of unlicensed driving.

Sept. 22, 12:39 a.m.: Police arrested Akshay S. Shende, 35, of 60 Hope Ave. in Waltham was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery, Lawn said.

Sept. 22, 5:10 p.m.: Police arrested Wayne P. Metrano, 52, of 38 Melendy Ave. in Watertown, was arrested on charges of domestic assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon - a cologne bottle, and threat to commit murder, Lawn said.


Incidents

Sept. 16, 10:51 a.m.: A woman went to a yard sale on Warren Street and left her wallet in an unlocked car, Lawn said. When she returned the wallet was gone.

Sept. 17, 10:41 a.m.: A vehicle parked on Philip Darch Road was hit five times by what appears to be pellets, Lawn said.

Sept. 18, 12:42 p.m.: A couple walked into the Sprint Store and took a Samsung Galaxy phone worth $599.99 off the display and ran out of the store, Lawn said.

Sept. 20, 4:24 p.m.: A car on Edgecliff Road had a scratch the entire length of the car, Lawn said.

Sept. 20, 9:01 p.m.: A person went to the First Parish Church and placed an iPhone 4 on a desk and when she returned it was gone, Lawn said.

Sept. 22, 2:19 p.m.: Security at Stop & Shop on Watertown Street spotted a woman putting a number of items from the pharmacy area into a bag, Lawn said. She was approached by security, who found she had $65 worth of merchandise. The store will file a complaint in court against the 20 year old woman from Boston.
