5 Things: Health Clinic, Lifeguard Course, Town Meeting Attendance and More
A few things you need to know on March 1, 2013, in Wayland.

1. Health Clinic. It's Friday; that means that Parmenter is holding it's weekly free health clinic. Stop by for a blood pressure and blood glucose screening.
2. Lifeguard Classes. The Wayland Community Pool is registering now for its March Lifeguard Certification class. Check out details.
3. Attendance Survey. The Electronic Voting Implementation Sub-committee (you may know them as ELVIS) is compiling data to help order the appropriate number of voting handsets for the April Town Meeting. Here are a few more details and a link to the survey.

4. Citizen's Police Academy. Registration is open now for the Wayland Police Department's Citizen's Police Academy, set to begin on March 19. Check out details about the academy as well as registration information.
5. The Origins of a Witch Hunt. On March 1, 1692, three young women in Salem Village were charged with witchcraft. Over the ensuing few months, 19 innocent people were executed on trumped up charges of witchcraft, according to History.com. Those remaining to be tried or awaiting execution were released or pardoned in October of that year.
