5 Things: Normal Hours Resume, Finnerty's Hearing, Internet Safety Talk and More

A few things you need to know on Jan. 22, 2013, in Wayland.

1. Back to Normal. After being closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, normal hours resume today for the Wayland Public Library and Wayland Public Schools as well as state and federal offices. The Wayland Town Building will be open until 7 p.m. today.

2. Finnerty's Hearing and Other Meetings. The Planning Board will once again be talking about the Finnerty's redevelopment tonight. In addition, the Board of Selectmen, Finance Committee, Board of Public Works and several other boards and committees are scheduled to meet tonight. 3. Kids and Internet Safety. Wayland resident Tony Loftis will be at the Wayland Public Library tonight to talk with parents about how to recognize some possible dangerous behaviors of kids online. He will offer tips for establishing safe online behaviors among children.

Admittedly, there were other things going on yesterday (Presidential Inauguration, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, etc.), but the squirrel should not go unrecognized. And no, we didn't make this up -- a wildlife rehabilitator in North Carolina did.
