Decision Issued on Wayland Green Place
The Wayland Green Place will be located in the Town Center.
In a 5-0 Planning Board vote, the Wayland Green Place housing complex was given final approval on Tuesday night, according to the town planner.
The site plan approval comes weeks after the Planning Board held a public hearing on the complex, which was originally proposed as 88 units in 2008, according to Town Planner Sarkis Sarkisian.
As part of the approval, the developer, Brendan Homes, will donate $150,000 worth of work toward the $350,000 needed to complete the town green, according to Sarkisian. Also, the smaller complex means less wastewater will be used, he said.

“This is going to look much more attractive and compliment the rest of the town center," Sarkisian told Wayland Patch. "This is a much, much better project ... than what was originally approved.”
The units would be located behind the new Panera Bread in Town Center.
