Wayland Goes For Rausch, Patalano: Primary Election Results 2018

Here's how Wayland voted in the mid-term primary election of 2018.

WAYLAND, MA—Voters turned out for the Massachusetts state primary election on Tuesday, Sept. 4, electing state representatives, state senators, councillors, U.S. Congress and other state positions.

Polls were open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Three Democrats vied to take on incumbent Republican Richard Ross in the primary election run for the state senate seat representing Norfolk, Bristol and Middlesex: Kris Aleksov, an attorney from Wayland; Jackie Katz, a Wellesley High School teacher from Norfolk; and Becca Rausch, a Needham native and attorney.

The district includes part or all of Natick, Wayland, Franklin, Wellesley, Millis, Attleboro, Needham, Norfolk, North Attleborough, Plainville, Sherborn and Wrentham. At 9:02 p.m., the New York Times reports that with two percent of the vote in for the district, Rebecca Rausch was in the lead at 68 percent of the vote.
