Fire Log: Medical Emergencies, A Closed Flue, and Carbon Monoxide

The following information was supplied by the Wayland Fire Department.

The Wayland Fire Department answered 61 calls for assistance during the week of Feb. 25-March 3, 2012. This is a summary of those incidents excepting standard inspections and training.

Monday, Feb. 25, 2013
7:16 a.m. - 44 Main St, fire alarm system work

9:56 a.m. - Brooks Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to Beth Israel Hospital

10:53 a.m. - Commonwealth Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

11:13 a.m. - Joyce Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

2:59 p.m. - Stonebridge Rd, assistance needed

3:07 p.m. - 44 Main St, fire alarm system work and site inspection

7:23 p.m. - 6 Loker St activation of alarm system due to malfunction

4:38 a.m. - Crest Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

8:57 a.m. - Green Way, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

9:21 a.m. - 19 River Rock Way, occupancy inspection

2:19 p.m. - 6 Loker St, fire alarm system work

5:43 p.m. - 227 Rice Rd, accidental activation of alarm system

8:18 a.m. - 32 Pemberton Rd, activation of alarm system due to malfunction

10:05 a.m. - 86 Concord Rd, caller reported outside odor of natural gas

1:59 p.m. - 264 Old Connecticut Path, service call

2:06 p.m. - 106 Main St, activation of fire alarm system

5:07 p.m. - Bent Ave, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

5:24 p.m. - 397 Boston Post Rd, activation of alarm system due to water leak

8:22 p.m. - Commonwealth Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

8:29 p.m. - 30 Brook Trail Rd, activation of alarm system due to malfunction

10:05 p.m. - Lodge Rd, assistance needed

10:10 a.m. - 530 & 397 Boston Post Rd & 10 Green Way, fire alarm system work

10:30 a.m. - 219 Old Connecticut Path, activation of carbon monoxide detector

10:38 a.m. - 1 Highfields Rd, assist with residential lockout

10:48 a.m. - Commonwealth Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

3:28 p.m. - 7 Adelaide Ave, smoke detector installation

10:04 p.m. - Commonwealth Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

2:18 a.m. - Green Way, assistance needed

10:04 a.m. - 63 Andrew Ave, occupancy inspection

2:36 p.m. - 14 Rice Spring Lane, caller reported odor of propane in house

2:41 p.m. - Commonwealth Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

4 p.m. - Old Connecticut Path, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Natick

6:53 p.m. - 6 Claypit Hill Rd, caller reported outside odor of natural gas

8:45 p.m. - Wallace Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

7:48 p.m. - Glezen Lane, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Natick

11:25 - 10 Old Weston Rd, telephone alarm of fire, due to closed damper in fire place

2:16 p.m. - 6 Claypit Hill Rd, report of outside odor of natural gas

2:23 p.m. - Commonwealth Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

4:07 - 26 Sunset Rd, caller reported strong outside odor of natural gas.
