Gov. Healey Nominates Wayland Resident For Superior Court Judge Seat
Michael Pineault is an attorney at Boston's Anderson & Kreiger LLP law firm and a former federal prosecutor.
WAYLAND, MA — Gov. Maura Healey has nominated a Wayland resident and former federal prosecutor to serve as a superior court judge.
Healey earlier this month picked Michael Pineault as a nominee to become Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Superior Court and Milton resident Audrey Murillo to become an Associate Justice of the state Juvenile Court.
Pineault was a federal prosecutor from 1997 to 2007 as an Assistant U.S. Attorney working on civil and economic cases. He then served as a legal counsel to former governor Deval Patrick, and most recently as an attorney at Anderson & Kreiger LLP.

Pineault is a graduate of Dartmouth and Harvard Law School, and grew up in Foxborough.
As a superior court judge, Pineault would oversee major felony murder cases, civil litigation involving actions over $50,000 and labor disputes, among other matters.

Following Healey's nomination, the Governor's Council will review and make a final decision on confirmation.
