There are a number of open positions on Wayland boards and committees.

There are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved with town government.
Vacancies include positions on the Youth Advisory Committee and the Housing Partnership as well as the Audit Committee (as the School Committee representative) and the Community Preservation Committee (as the selectmen's representative).
The appointments are generally for filling unexpired terms. In addition to the vacancies listed above, available positions include:

To apply for one of the open positions, send an email or mail a letter addressed to the Board of Selectmen at selectmen@wayland.ma.us or Town of Wayland, 41 Cochituate Road, Wayland, MA 01778.
Letters should include a statement of interest and provide information on the education and experience (professional or volunteer) relevant to the position sought. Feel free to submit a resume or summary of background information with the brief letter of interest.
Applicants are encouraged to attend a meeting or to contact the chair of the board or committee to which they are applying. Information on meeting dates and contact information for the chair are generally provided on the committee page of the Town of Wayland website.
Typically, the Board of Selectmen interviews candidates as part of a regular selectmen's meeting at 7:15 p.m. in the Town Building. Applicants will be contacted to schedule the interview. Applicants must be registered voters in the Town of Wayland in order to be considered for appointment.
