Letter: Downs Has All the Skills for the Wayland School Committee
Lori Frieling says Jeanne Downs is her pick for Wayland School Committee.

Jeanne Downs’ longstanding involvement as a respected and committed leader and volunteer, at all levels of the Wayland school system, offers the school committee and our community an understanding of school workings from the inside out. She has a strong record of leadership as PTO chair of the Middle School and High School boards. Jeanne’s interaction with parents and administrators is always handled with her signature positive energy, respect, thoughtful consideration and patience. She has an open ear to ideas and conducts a thoughtful, effective execution of tasks.Â
Jeanne has all the skills necessary to sit at the School Committee table and handle the rigors of budget and program analysis. Jeanne also has the warmth and strength to deal with complex issues district wide. She has stellar interpersonal skills and a broad-based school knowledge to support our hardworking superintendent, interact effectively with administrators and teachers, listen carefully to the concerns of parents and ultimately champion all our town’s children to ensure continuation of our wonderful school system in Wayland.
Please join me in voting for Jeanne Downs on April 2.Â
