Letter: It's a 'Privilege' to Endorse Downs for School Committee

We are honored and privileged to endorse Jeanne Downs for the Wayland School Committee. We have known Jeanne for over 20 years and during that time we have had the opportunity to witness her outstanding commitment and devotion to the children of Wayland.

Jeanne has been the driving force behind the Wayland Junior Warriors swim team; she has also served as President of both the Middle School and High School Parent Organizations.  In addition, she has devoted countless hours to numerous other volunteer roles in Wayland.  She has proven to be an effective, engaging leader who works well with people by listening, discussing and analyzing before making a decision.

We are very impressed by and grateful for the excellent education our four children received while in the Wayland Public Schools. We appreciate and value the work done by the Wayland School Committee; it is vital for the future of our schools that a person committed to education and our children serve on that committee. That person is Jeanne Downs; we cannot think of a better candidate to move Wayland schools into the future.
