Two Arrested for DUI in Wayland

The following are recent arrests from the Wayland Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions. 

Oct. 31 

A 53-year-old Wayland woman was arrested on Sherman Bridge Road at 8:50 p.m. after crashing into a utility pole.

The incident began when police responded to a report of car crash on Sherman Bridge Road. When they arrived, officers found a car had struck a pole. After investigating, officers arrested Patricia Kaufman, 53, of 247 Concord Road and charged her with driving under the influence of alcohol and a marked lanes violation. She was later released on a promise to appear at a Nov. 1 hearing at Framingham District Court.

A 40-year-old Framingham man was arrested at around 2 a.m. after officers responded to a report of an erratic driver.

At around 2 a.m., officers responded to the report of a driver operating erratically on Route 30. Officers topped the car and arrested Charles Atamayo, 40, of 77 Clinton St., Framingham and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol, a marked lanes violation and operating to endanger. He was later released on a promise to appear for at a future hearing at Framingham District Court.
