13th Middlesex Democrats To Hold Platform Meeting
This gathering on Tuesday, March 12, will be a time for Democrats to tell their party leaders their views on a variety of issues

Democrats in the 13th Middlesex Representative District, which includes Precincts 1, 2 and 3 in Wayland, are invited to the Wayland Senior Center (at Wayland Town Building) on Tuesday, March 12 for a platform meeting.
The hearing, scheduled from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., will be a time for Democrats throughout the state, but particular the 13th Middlesex District, to submit written and oral testimony letting party leaders know the issues important to them.
That testimony will then be submitted to the state party, according to a press release, and Platform Drafting Committee will consider the testimony in presenting a proposed platform at the 2013 Democratic State Convention.

A link on the state Democratic party website also allows and Democratic Committee, individual or other entity to submit testimony. The deadline to submit online testimony is 5 p.m. on April 12.

The platform consists of twelve (12) sections. Individuals or groups submitting testimony will be asked to name the section that their testimony falls under: Voting & Democracy, Business & Entrepreneurship, Justice & Civil Rights, Ethics & Transparency in Government, Revenue & Expenditures, Education, Healthcare & Human Services, Labor, Economic Growth, Energy & Environment, Transportation & Infrastructure, and Public Safety & Crime Prevention.
