Junie B. Jones, Jr. Presented By Wellesley Theatre Project

Wellesley Theatre Project Presents JUNIE B. JONES, JR. December 7th-9th at Babson College's Sorenson Center for the Arts

Join us for the first day of first grade as Wellesley Theatre Project (WTP) presents JUNIE B. JONES, JR Friday, December 7th at 5pm and 8pm and Saturday, December 8th and Sunday, December 9th at 2pm and 5pm. All performances will take place at the The Sorenson Center at Babson College, located at 19 Babson College Drive, Wellesley, MA 02482. Tickets are priced $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors, and may be purchased online at http://wellesleytheatreproject.org in advance, or at the door for $18 for adults and $12 for students and seniors.

Adapted from the best-selling book series by Barbara Park, JUNIE B. JONES, JR, follows Junie B. on her first day of first grade, where many changes are in store. This includes Junie's best friend Lucille finding new best friends, Junie B. making friends with the new kid, and having trouble reading the blackboard, and getting glasses! Add in a friendly cafeteria lady, an intense kickball tournament and a "Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal," and first grade has never been more exciting! The show features many lovable characters and fun-filled songs great fo all ages!

JUNIE B. JONES, JR features two talented casts of over forty students students between the ages of seven and eleven. Cast members of JUNIE B. JONES, JR reside in Wellesley as well as neighboring communities including Aburndale, Framingham, Natick, Needham, Waban, Wayland, and Weston

The JUNIE B. JONES, JR production staff includes: Ben Rush, Director & Scenic Designer; Eric Anderson Jr., Music Director; Luciana Fionda, Choreographer; Seif Cristobal, Lighting Designer; Megan Pillsbury, Costume Designer; and Alexa Lambert, Stage Manager. Book and Lyrics are by Marcy Heisler, with music by Zina Goldrich. JUNIE B. JONES, JR is adapted from the Junie B. Jones Series of books by Barbara Park, and is produced through special arrangements with Musical Theatre International.

Wellesley Theatre Project is an arts academy and a Wellesley nonprofit devoted to providing students (PreK - 12th Grade) with the opportunity to study and experience theatre and performing arts through year round classes, staged productions, workshops and summer camps.

Registration is open for WTP’s Winter/Spring semester, which include weekly classes in theatre, acting, musical theatre dance, tap, improvisation, private voice lessons, and musical theatre for students Pre-K through 12th grade. In addition, registration is open for WTP’s Winter/Spring productions of The Little Mermaid, Jr. (Grades 2nd- 12th) and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Audition Only- Grades 7th-12th).

Registration is also open for WTP’s 2019 Summer Camps. Sessions include three production camps geared for students between 2nd and 12th grade in addition to one week Theatre Arts camps for Pre K- 12th grade. The production camps are: A Year With Frog and Toad, KIDS! (Grades 2-8), Marry Poppins (Grades 2-12), and Bright Star (Grades 8-12).
