Let’s Rock n’ Roll Family Event Benefits the Plugged In Band Program
Six bands entertain and delight the audience at annual fundraising event on April 30, 2023
Over 200 guests attended Plugged In Band Program’s family event Let’s Rock n’ Roll, a fundraiser for Plugged In’s Scholarship Fund and Inclusion Program on Sunday, April 30, 2023. The event drew families and friends from Greater Boston and Metrowest communities.
Guests enjoyed live music from six bands representing some of Let's Rock n' Roll's sponsors: Bored of Directors (sponsored by individual members of the band), The Cans (representing JC Cannistraro), Izii & Elita Starr (representing OutaHit Records), Monkeys with Crayons (representing Bain Capital Community Partnership), N3R (representing Tremont School) and TBD (representing Dedham Savings Bank). The event provided an evening of amazing music, dancing, and a delicious dinner provided by How’s Your Meat BBQ food truck, along with fun activities for kids of all ages. Originally, planned to take place under a tent at The Needham History Center & Museum, Plugged In would like to thank the First Baptist Church in Newton for making it possible for us to come in from the rain.
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Presenting Sponsors were Bain Capital Community Partnership and JC Cannistraro. Rock Legend Sponsors were Needham Bank and OutaHit Records. Rock Star Sponsors were Dedham Savings Bank, Music Go Round, Needham History Center & Museum and the Village Bank. Rock n’ Roller Sponsors were Beth Israel Lahey Health, Copley Motor Cars, Exchange Club of Needham, Middlesex Savings Bank, Volante Farms, Needham Women’s Club, Roche Bros and Tremont School.
Proceeds from the event supported the Plugged In Band Program Scholarship Fund and Inclusion Program.

Since 2002, Plugged In Band Program has been empowering youth to use music to make positive change in the world and instilling in them the confidence to do so. Plugged In provides ensemble band classes, private lessons, music technology programs, cross-cultural programs and summer camp and is a welcoming place where musicians of all ages can express their creative side, be nurtured, and learn to give back to their community. What makes Plugged In special is a commitment to including all students, regardless of their ability to pay or the costs associated with accommodating students with special needs.
