Tuesday, July 8, 2025: A nationwide day of peaceful actions will take place on Thursday, July 17 to mark the five-year passing of Congressman John Lewis and honor his extraordinary legacy of nonviolent action for civil rights. Wellesley residents and others will come together on that Thursday to defend civil rights in a peaceful rally at 5:00pm to 6:30pm on Wellesley Town Hall Green, 525 Washington Street, Wellesley, Massachusetts.

The “Good Trouble Lives On” rally is organized by neighbors in Wellesley to call attention to the government’s efforts to roll back voting rights, slash essential services, remove neighbors, and threaten free speech and the right to peacefully protest.

All are welcome to participate in the rally. Attendees are encouraged to bring flags, signs, friends and good cheer!

A core principle of the “Good Trouble Lives On” rallies is a commitment to nonviolent action.

This non-partisan rally is organized by neighbors in Wellesley, and is supported by the League of Women Voters Wellesley, Neighbors United Indivisible, the Immigration Justice Group of Temple Beth Elohim, UU Wellesley Hills, and World of Wellesley.
