Description: The job holder designs, implements, integrates and supports various mainframe, mid-frame, distributed, web and PC operating systems and ancillary products. S/he formulates system scope and objectives, analyzes user hardware and software needs and recommends upgrades or new purchases. S/he is involved in all phases of implementation and performs software installations and documents system software.
Qualifications:
Minimum three to five years experience required.
Thorough knowledge of the company's organization's technology practices, standards and procedures and implementing heterogeneous, open systems.
Prior experience with producing detail-level functional requirement documentation and selecting the optimal testing environment for specific applications.
Experience with coordinating all parties affected by putting new applications into production
Familiarity with designing and executing major software installations and key issues related to implementing a security system.
Experience addressing a variety of technical (hardware, software or application) problems.
Must also be customer-service oriented, able to build cooperative relationships with people and have effective oral and written communication skills.
Experienced problem solver who thinks creatively about solutions and adapts easily to changing priorities.
B.S. or B.A. or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree or certification beneficial.
