Reusable Bags Are Back In Wellesley
The state order suspending the use of reusable bags just expired and the town is urging residents to bring their own bags again.

WELLESLEY, MA — Time to grab those reusable bags and put them back in the car — plastic bag bans are back on Wellesley and reusable bags are in. The town is urging residents to use their reusable bags instead of the paper options at the supermarket.
The order by the Massachusetts Department of Health that temporarily suspended the use of reusable bans expired on Friday, allowing towns to reinforce their plastic bag bans and encourage residents to shop with reusable bags.
The temporary order was preventative measure to stop the potential spread of the coronavirus through reusable bags. Health officials have determined there is a low risk of contracting COVID-19 from reusable bags. Shoppers are reminded to remain vigilant and wash their hands frequently.
