Wellesley Hills Junior Women's Club Announces Virtual Wonder Run

The town's beloved Wonder Run 5K and Kids Fun Run has been postponed indefinitely.

WELLESLEY, MA — The Wellesley Hills Junior Women's Club announced that due to social distancing restrictions and other related public health safety concerns, the town's beloved Wonder Run 5K and Kids Fun Run has been postponed indefinitely.

Originally scheduled as part of Wellesley's Wonderful Weekend this past weekend, the WHJWC is excited to announce a "Virtual Wonder Run" to still take place, as a way to support two community organizations, The Second Step program and Family Promise Metrowest, both of which are facing critical financial needs now associated with COVID-19 implications to their organizations.

How it works: - Join a team or create your own to raise money for your personal 5K walk or run - Invite family, friends and neighbors to join or donate in your support - Complete your own personal 5K walk or run anytime between Friday, 5/29 - Sunday, 6/7 - Please adhere to all social distancing regulations. Safety is a priority! - Snap a picture or video and tag #VirtualWonderRun2020 - Have Fun! - Anyone is also welcome to donate if unable to participate through the GoFundMe campaign.
