Scholarships available—application deadline is Jan. 1, 2026 (theswellesleyreport.com) — Wellesley families with preschoolers can now apply for P.A.W.S. scholarships for the 2026–27 school year, with applications due January 1. Funded by the Kiwanis Club of Wellesley and potentially boosted by $12,000 in the Wellesley Public Schools budget, this aid aims to make high-quality preschool more affordable for local families.
   

• Thank you to Swellesley's Fall '25 BU Newsroom reporters (theswellesleyreport.com) — Boston University journalism students spent the fall crisscrossing Wellesley, covering everything from MassBay land issues and town budgeting to the spelling bee and pumpkin patch. Their work with The Swellesley Report deepened coverage of local government, events, and emerging topics like AI in town operations, and more student reporters are expected this spring.
   

• Wellesley/Lincoln-Sudbury girls hockey rides fast start to win over Newton North (masslive.com) — A co-op Wellesley/Lincoln-Sudbury girls hockey squad snapped a three-game skid with a 6–2 win over Newton North at the Boston Sports Institute in Wellesley. Six different players scored as WLS rode a three-goal first period and strong finish to regain momentum heading into Wednesday’s matchup with Boston Latin.
