Wellesley Resident Takes VP Role at Tufts Health Plan

WELLESLEY, MA – A recent transplant from New Jersey and newly minted Wellesleyan has been appointed to a vice president role at New England-based insurance company Tufts Health Plan.

Hyunsook Song was named vice president of product management and community relations for Public Plans, where she will be responsible for managing relationships with customers and stakeholders, ensuring consistent and cost-effective contract operations and developing communication strategies for the company's markets.

Prior to joining Tufts Health Plan, Song was exchange director at Empire BlueCross BlueShield-Anthem and assistant vice president of product planning for Health Plus Amerigroup in New York. Song has an extensive background in health insurance, which includes stints at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Partners HealthCare and Harvard.

Tufts Health Plan is a New England-based health insurance company that provides coverage to more than one million members in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
