Wellesley Society of Artists Award Winners Announced
"Anything Goes" Exhibition at the Weston Public Library
The Wellesley Society of Artists is proud to announce the award winners for the show, "Anything Goes" on display at the Weston Public Library through October 30, 2025. Our Judge Nancy Colella is a Copley Master of the Copley Society of Art in Boston, MA, and a faculty member of the North River Arts Society in Marshfield, MA.
Here are the award winners of the show, along with some of Nancy's thoughts on her selections:
First Place: Janet Montecalvo

Second Place: Catherine Gruetzke-Blais
"Spring Layers"

“This piece is notable for its excellent use of perspective. It invites the viewer to look through the foreground into the inner world of the garden. The bright colors and loose brushstrokes are compelling, drawing the observer into the layered landscape.”
Third Place: Joan Onofrey
