Attorney Andrew Lechner Joins Mirick O’Connell

Worcester, MA – August 14, 2024 – Mirick O’Connell announces that Attorney Andrew T. Lechner has joined the Firm as an Associate in the Firm’s Real Estate and Environmental Law Group in the Firm’s Westborough office.

“We are pleased to welcome Andrew to our Team,” says David K. McKay, chair of Mirick O’Connell’s Litigation Team. “Andrew’s strong familiarity with land use regulations will be a true asset to our clients.”

Lechner focuses his practice primarily on environmental, real estate and zoning litigation, representing individuals, businesses, real estate developers and municipalities. He also assists his clients with local and state land use permitting.

Lechner is a cum laude graduate of Vermont Law School, where he also obtained a Master’s Degree in Environmental Law and Policy. While attending law school, Lechner clerked in the Enforcement & Litigation section of the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources, advising state personnel on a variety of environmental enforcement and permitting matters, including renewable energy permitting. He was also a student clinician with the Environmental Advocacy Clinic, where he collaborated with the National Wildlife Federation to respond to proposed modifications of the Clean Water Act’s Nationwide Permitting program, and assisted a large offshore wind development with navigating various Federal environmental regulations.

Prior to joining Mirick O’Connell, Lechner was an Associate Attorney with Johnson & Borenstein, LLC of Andover, Massachusetts, and previously an Associate Attorney with Facey Goss & McPhee of Rutland, Vermont.
