Brush Fire Near Commuter Rail Tracks In Westborough May Delay Trains
The fire was burning near train tracks just west of the Southborough train station.
WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough firefighters were battling a brush fire Friday evening near MBTA Commuter Rail tracks.
The fire, reported just before 5 p.m., was burning near 15 Old Flanders Road, which is between Fruit Street and the Commuter Rail station in the Cordaville section of Southborough.
Westborough firefighters had requested the stoppage of train traffic through the area until the fire could be brought under control.
