Dozens Turn Out For Westborough Garden Club Plant Sale

The weekend event supports the club's scholarship program, and the 2024 will study the environment at Tufts.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — It turns out rain is just as good for gardeners as it is for gardens.

The Westborough Garden Club's annual plant sale attracted dozens of locals on Saturday, even with pouring rain. Residents lined up to purchase a wide variety of plants, from native plants to herbs and vegetables, flowers and shrubs. The club also offered free soil testing for pH levels.

The plant sale funds the club's annual scholarship program. The 2024 recipient was Westborough High School student Michelle Hung, who serves on the Sustainable Westborough board. Hung will pursue environmental studies at Tufts University.
